RED team members have also been recipients of a number of local, national and international awards and accolades. Here are just a few recent ones:
Ricoh Business Centre Hobart Environment Award 2016 (Tasmanian Community Achievement Award) - 'Get Bill Smart Project' (Sustainable Living Tasmania and Mission Australia). Phillipa and Steve Watson participated as lead researchers and advisers on this project.
Tasmanian Community Achievement Award Finalist 2016 – implementation of the University of Tasmania's Sustainable Transport Strategy (University of Tasmania). Anna Lyth was lead consultant for this project.
Planning Institute of Australia (Tasmania Division) - Improving Planning Processes and Practices Planning Excellence Award 2015 - Anna Lyth, Corey Peterson, Kamal Singh, University of Tasmania team in partnership with Nigel Hutson, Emma Pharo, Aaron Archer, University of Tasmania for The University of Tasmania Sustainable Transport Strategy 2010-2016. Finalist in the Planning Institute of Australia National Awards 2016.
The University of Tasmania was awarded the Green Gown Australasia Award 2014 in the Facilities and Services category for the Sustainable Transport Strategy and Implementation ('Thinking outside the rectangle'). RED's Anna Lyth was lead consultant for this project.
