Founding Director of RED Sustainability, Steve has over 25 years experience working in sustainable design, research, teaching and consulting. He has a background in both commercial and residential building projects and has worked extensively in energy and sustainability assessment and in sustainable design. Steve is an accredited Green Star professional and an accredited House Energy Rating Assessor. His PhD entitled ‘Improving the Implementation of Environmental Strategies in the Design of Buildings’ investigated environmental assessment processes used in building design and the development of assessment tools to assist the design process. Steve is the co-author of numerous publications and guidelines including the book ‘The Environmental Brief’ (2007).
